VERNIER FRICTION BLOCK
Vernier's Friction Block is a 5cm hardwood cube with a hook on one face for investigating static and kinetic friction. The block may be pulled by the hook with any one of four sides facing down, each offering a different surface material.

To investigate the effect of normal force on the frictional force, add masses to the block and pull again.
The edges and corners of the block have been sanded so there are no sharp edges or points.
